Do you know the feeling when you read a book that changes the way you think for good? A book that goes beyond interesting and makes you act in a different way. Last week I read the book Tribes by Seth Godin and I haven't stopped talking about movements, tribes and leadership since.
Godin writes that instead of doing traditional marketing, we should focus on creating Tribes.
"People yarn for change, they relish being part of a movement."
We should stop being managers and start to be leaders who create movements. A true leader creates a community where people with same set of beliefs or goals communicate and connect.
This sentence totally amazed me:
"One person can make a video that reaches 50 million people."
I finally realized the power of a leader, if you post a video narrative about what you believe in and what you are trying to do, people get to tag along and together create a movement.
